How to Install and Use Lightroom Desktop Presets

Step 1: Download the zip folder containing your desktop presets to your computer.

Double click on the folder to unzip the files.

Step 2: Open Lightroom CC Classic.

In order to use the desktop version of the presets, you will need to have an adobe subscription. To download an adobe subscription for Lightroom and Photoshop – click here!

Step 3: Import the photo you would like to apply the preset to into your library.

Highlight the image and click on ‘Develop’ on the top.

Step 4: On the left you will see a Presets tab below the Navigator.

Click on the + and then select Import Preset. Locate the folder with your new presets and select the first one and click Import. You will now see the preset appear under the Preset tab below User PresetsRepeat the steps for the remaining twelve preset files.

Step 5: Now you can edit your photo by clicking on a preset from the list.

You can click on each preset to find which one that will work best on your photo. And remember, you can still continue to edit the photo after the preset is applied. Note that any edits you’ve made before applying the preset to the photo will be override by the preset. So, make sure you apply your preset first and then make additional editing if needed.

Step 6: Once all presets are added to your Lightroom CC Classic, they will also appear on your desktop version of Photoshop Camera Raw and Lightroom CC.
